It’s summer! Woohoo! The kids have been out of school for a little over a week and we have been on the go the whole time! We took 2 longer trips–one to Hershey Park for an overnight and one (very long) day trip to the beach. I packed these days before camp starts with plenty of adventures and the mifold Grab & Go Booster has been such a lifesaver more times than I can count!

What is mifold ? It’s a Grab & Go Booster Seat that is 10 times smaller than the average booster seat, but it doesn’t sacrifice any safety** due to it’s small size!        The mifold, just like its name suggests, is a booster seat that folds up to be about the size of a magazine folded in half and it weighs LESS than 2 pounds! It’s made of durable plastic polymer and aluminum and it is the perfect size for kids aged 4 -12 years old (the child must be at least 4 years old AND 40 lbs to safely use the mifold  and it works with kids up to 12 years old and 120 lbs). Its small size makes it perfect for travel AND day to day use. I always have an extra kid in my car and I love that the mifold is easily stored right in the side of the door of my car or even in my purse. It’s always there when I need it, without taking up much space. And, because it’s so small, I can send it with Gia if she’s going to a friend’s house and I think they may go somewhere and don’t have an extra booster seat. This past weekend Gia had an impromptu sleep over at my mom’s house and I sent the booster home with my mom. I also can’t wait to put this to good use when we travel by air. I’m always worried about the kids when we arrive at our destination because, often, there are no booster seats for big kids. Now I won’t have to worry about that either! I can easily fit the mifold in my suitcase or carryon. How does it work? Well, you unfold the mifold  and put it on the seat in the car. The child sits on the black part (see below). There are red “arms” on each side of the mifold –these are adjustable according to the width of the child when he/she is sitting in the seat. There are three settings and you choose that one that fits the child the most snugly. These red arms also act as the seat belt guide so the seat belt stays in place across the child’s lap when he/she is sitting. Lastly, there is a strap with a red clip that goes behind the child’s back and clips on to the should strap part of the seat belt. The shoulder strap easily tightens and allows you to adjust the chest strap of the seatbelt so that it is in the correct place across the child’s chest and shoulder. I was worried that the shoulder strap would be difficult to adjust, but it took me less than a minute to tighten it and get it properly situated on Gia. The best part about this seat is that it’s easy to use! It’s easy to adjust to any child’s size and it’s very sturdy. I feel very comfortable with Gia using it rather than a traditional sized booster seat because its well made. And of course, I love its size. I love that I can keep it in my car, or stick it in my beach bag just in case Gia wants to ride home with someone else. I can quickly pass it to a friend or family member so that Gia is always safe in the car. Read more about the mifold Grab & Go Booster Seat BUY mifold  HERE
